After returning home from thanksgiving break back in Elizabeth City I am pausing to reflect on some things. My thanksgiving was mostly good. The food was good, the fellowship was good, I got a chance to work on a project for my ailing grandfather, which was also good. I got to spend some quality time with my family, I also got to make some quick cash with my brother at Kenyon Bailey. A couple things that didn’t go well was the fact that my Papa was not having a good weekend and needed to have some additional procedures done to ensure his continued health. another bad thing was my cousins dog ran away in the middle of large urban area and after hour 3 was not expected to return. However, these situations resolved themselves when after the procedures my Papa bounced back was doing much better. The dog also came back real early in the morning much to the enjoyment of my cousins. Some other things that happened this week: I successfully hung all the lights around my house which looked exceptionally good. However towards the end of the week either due to an overload on the receptacle or the inclement weather a fuse blew in the plug and the whole back half of the house went out including some of the front. So I had to get back on a ladder in the rain and replace the fuse and hope that it wouldn’t go out again. I didn’t think to take any pictures but maybe my family will (hint hint cough cough). Well I let whoever is reading this () probably no one get on with their lives. I just thought I would give everybody an update on what I did for my thanksgiving break
Hey Boyo-
You’ll be happy to know that the lights are still up and running- even the timer worked like it was supposed to. Had a lot of people say they could see the Christmas lights all the way down to Soundneck Road. You did a great job and it was wonderful to have you with us for Thanksgiving even if I did have to keep picking up your socks!
